A classic in its own right, Rooibos has won the hearts of tea drinkers, not only in South Africa, but all over the world. Known for its rich flavour and health benefits, rooibos is one of South Africa’s greatest treasures (Apart from the Springboks, of course). Now that we’ve taught you how to brew the perfect cup of rooibos, let’s take it to another level.

Rooibos tea is truly magical and pairs exceptionally well with a variety of different flavours. While we do have our own range of Flavoured Organic Rooibos Tea (click here to explore them), we’ve compiled some DIY versions for you to make at home too:

1. Winter Vanilla Spice 

This flavour combo adds a touch of warmth and sweetness to your Rooibos. Exceptionally comforting for a cosy evening in. 
Steps:

Brew a cup of BOS Organic Rooibos Tea.

• Add a splash of vanilla extract or a vanilla bean pod to the brewed tea.
• Sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top.
• Add some milk (if you like)
• Stir well and enjoy.

2. Citrus-Sipping 

Bright, light and refreshing. For those with a zest for life!

Steps:

• Brew a cup of BOS Organic Rooibos Tea.
• Squeeze the juice of half an orange, lemon or grapefruit into the brewed tea.
• Add a few slices of citrus fruit for an extra punch
• Stir well and enjoy.

3. Very Berry Brew

The berry burst is fruity, sweet and sure to make your tastebuds dance.

Steps:

• Brew a cup of BOS Organic Rooibos Tea.
• Add a handful of fresh or frozen berries such as strawberries, raspberries or blueberries to the brewed tea.
• Let the berries steep for a few minutes to let the flavour infuse.
• Stir and enjoy.

While Rooibos tea is naturally delicious on its own, experimenting with different flavours adds an exciting twist to your tea ritual.
