Lime and ginger are undeniably a fantastic combination of flavours. “What could improve such a powerful pair?” you may ask. How about a splash of blended Irish whiskey? The master whiskey distillers of Ireland’s yesteryear may have never dreamed of enjoying their drams in this way, but maybe they should have.
Create your own ginger & rooibos syrup:
- Place 300ml fresh ginger juice, 1 teabag of rooibos tea leaves, 50g lime skins and 600g of sugar into a jar.
- Let it rest for 2-3 days and shake daily until all sugar is dissolved. 3. Fine strain the mixture into a glass bottle and store in the fridge.
Shake up the whiskey, ginger and rooibos syrup and BOS Lime & Ginger. Pour into a wine glass and garnish with a slice of dried lime & fresh thyme.
